Copper Futures Rise on Higher Demand

Copper futures prices surged on Wednesday due to increased spot demand. The rise is attributed to participants' increased bets.
New Delhi, Jan 24 (PTI) Copper prices on Wednesday rose 1.02 per cent to Rs 724.65 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in January traded higher by Rs 7.35 or 1.02 per cent at Rs 716.65 per kg in a business turnover of 1,577 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
