Copper Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Copper prices in India's futures market rose on Wednesday, driven by increased spot demand. The rise is attributed to increased bets by market participants.
New Delhi, Aug 14 (PTI) Copper prices on Wednesday rose 0.21 per cent to Rs 787.90 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in August traded higher Rs 1.65 or 0.21 per cent at Rs 787.90 per kg in a business turnover of 13,529 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
