Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Surge on Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures prices rose on Thursday due to increased demand for cattle feed, prompting speculators to create new positions.
New Delhi, Feb 15 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Thursday rose Rs 81 to Rs 2,444 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid a higher demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for February delivery traded higher Rs 81, or 3.31 per cent, at Rs 2,444 per quintal with an open interest of 4,390 lots.

Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
