Cottonseed Oil Futures Fall on Weak Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures decline on soft demand. Prices fell Rs 4 to Rs 2,891 per quintal. Analysts cite sell-off amid subdued market trend.

New Delhi, Oct 8 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Wednesday fell Rs 4 to Rs 2,891 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets following weak trends in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for December delivery traded lower by Rs 4 or 0.14 per cent at Rs 2,891 per quintal with an open interest of 17,330 lots.

Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels amid a subdued trend in the market mainly weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.
