Crude Oil Futures Fall on Weak Global Demand

Crude oil futures prices declined in India on Wednesday, tracking weak global demand. The price of West Texas Intermediate crude fell 0.72% to USD 66.42 per barrel while Brent crude was trading 0.71% higher at USD 70.06 per barrel in New York.
New Delhi, Mar 19 (PTI) Crude oil futures on Wednesday fell Rs 48 to Rs 5,748 per barrel in futures trade as participants trimmed their positions tracking weak demand in the overseas market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for April delivery traded lower by Rs 48 or 0.83 per cent at Rs 5,748 per barrel in 5,057 lots.

Analysts said the prices were affected following participants offloading their holdings amid weak global cues.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude declined 0.72 per cent to USD 66.42 per barrel while Brent crude was trading 0.71 per cent higher at USD 70.06 per barrel in New York.
