Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Crude oil futures prices increased on the Multi Commodity Exchange on Wednesday, driven by firm spot demand and increased bets by participants. Read more.
New Delhi, Jul 24 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Wednesday increased Rs 13 to Rs 6,471 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for August delivery traded higher Rs 13 or 0.2 per cent at Rs 6,471 per barrel in 8,114 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up by 0.34 per cent to USD 77.22 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.36 per cent higher at USD 81.30 per barrel in New York.
