Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Crude oil futures prices in India surged on Thursday due to increased spot demand. Read about the latest oil price movements and global market trends.
New Delhi, Sep 5 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Thursday increased Rs 11 to Rs 5,836 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for October delivery traded higher Rs 11 or 0.19 per cent at Rs 5,836 per barrel in 7,497 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up by 0.59 per cent to USD 69.61 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.58 per cent higher at USD 73.12 per barrel in New York.
