Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Crude oil futures prices in India rose on Friday, driven by increased spot demand. Global benchmarks, WTI and Brent, saw mixed performance.
New Delhi, Apr 5 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Friday climbed Rs 91 to Rs 7,214 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for April delivery traded higher Rs 91 or 1.28 per cent at Rs 7,214 per barrel in 9,338 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 0.15 per cent to USD 86.46 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.08 per cent higher at USD 90.72 per barrel in New York.
