Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Crude oil futures prices climbed on Tuesday due to strong spot demand, with West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude also trading higher. Read more.
New Delhi, Apr 30 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Tuesday climbed Rs 18 to Rs 6,917 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for May delivery traded higher Rs 18 or 0.26 per cent at Rs 6,917 per barrel in 6,023 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.24 per cent to USD 82.83 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.19 per cent higher at USD 88.57 per barrel in New York.
