Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Crude oil futures prices climbed on Thursday due to increased spot demand, with MCX crude oil for May delivery trading higher at Rs 6,902 per barrel.
New Delhi, Apr 25 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Thursday climbed Rs 13 to Rs 6,902 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for May delivery traded higher Rs 13 or 0.19 per cent at Rs 6,902 per barrel in 5,263 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.13 per cent to USD 82.92 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.14 per cent higher at USD 88.14 per barrel in New York.
