Crude Oil Futures Rise on Strong Demand - PTI

Crude oil futures prices in India rose on Wednesday, driven by increased spot demand. Global crude oil prices also climbed, with WTI and Brent crude both gaining over 0.5%.
New Delhi, Aug 14 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Wednesday increased Rs 12 to Rs 6,608 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for August delivery traded higher Rs 12 or 0.18 per cent at Rs 6,608 per barrel in 7,989 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up by 0.56 per cent to USD 78.79 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.52 per cent higher at USD 81.11 per barrel in New York.
