Crude Oil Futures Rise on Strong Demand

Crude oil futures prices climbed on Tuesday, driven by increased demand. WTI and Brent crude also saw gains in international markets.
New Delhi, Apr 2 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Tuesday climbed Rs 38 to Rs 7,035 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for April delivery traded higher Rs 38 or 0.54 per cent at Rs 7,035 per barrel in 7,419 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.73 per cent to USD 84.32 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.69 per cent higher at USD 88.02 per barrel in New York.
