Gold Futures Decline on Weak Demand - PTI

Gold prices in India fell on Wednesday, driven by weak global cues and low demand. Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange declined by Rs 226 per 10 grams to Rs 71,896.

New Delhi, Aug 28 (PTI) Gold prices on Wednesday declined Rs 226 to Rs 71,896 per 10 grams in futures trade amid weak global cues.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery traded lower by Rs 226 to Rs 71,896 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 16,981 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues.

Globally, gold prices went down by 0.35 per cent to USD 2,543.90 per ounce in New York.
