Gold Futures Fall on Low Demand: Prices Drop in India

Gold prices in India fell on Monday due to reduced speculator positions and weak global cues. Gold futures dropped Rs 195 to Rs 61,997 per 10 grams.
New Delhi, Dec 18 (PTI) Gold prices on Monday fell Rs 195 to Rs 61,997 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for February delivery traded lower by Rs 195 or 0.31 per cent at Rs 61,997 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 14,728 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues.

Globally, gold was trading 0.04 per cent lower at USD 2,034.80 per ounce in New York.
