Gold Futures Fall on Low Demand - PTI

Gold prices in India fell on Monday due to reduced speculation and weak global cues. The decline comes as gold futures traded lower on the Multi Commodity Exchange.
New Delhi, Jan 8 (PTI) Gold prices on Monday declined Rs 342 to Rs 62,215 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for February delivery traded lower by Rs 342 or 0.55 per cent at Rs 62,215 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 11,592 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues.

Globally, gold was trading 0.57 per cent lower at USD 2,038.10 per ounce in New York.
