Gold Futures Surge: Rs 70,070/10gm - Today's Price

Gold prices jumped Rs 415 to Rs 70,070 per 10 grams in futures trading on Thursday, driven by strong spot demand and increased speculation. Global gold futures also saw gains.

New Delhi, Aug 1 (PTI) Gold prices on Thursday jumped Rs 415 to Rs 70,070 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for August delivery traded higher Rs 415 or 0.6 per cent at Rs 70,070 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 19,584 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in gold prices, analysts said.

Globally, gold futures increased 0.62 per cent to USD 2,488.40 per ounce in New York.
