Goyal Assures Conducive Business Environment for Indian Industries

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal met with industry CEOs to discuss regulatory reforms, trade, logistics, and other issues to create a conducive business environment in India.
New Delhi, Aug 9 (PTI) Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held detailed discussions with CEOs of various industries and discussed issues related to regulatory reforms, telecom, trade and logistics, among others, an official statement said on Friday.

The meeting, which was held here on August 8, witnessed the participation of 100 industry stakeholders, including more than 35 CEOs and CFOs from sectors such as ESDM (electronic system design and manufacturing), auto, chemicals, telecom, capital goods, textiles and food processing.

Issues which figured in the meeting included regulatory reforms, trade, logistics, market demand, supplier ecosystem, talent availability, policies, intellectual property rights and access to capital.

"He (Goyal) actively engaged with the industry stakeholders, addressing their concerns and providing assurances on the government's efforts to create a conducive business environment," the commerce and industry ministry said.
