Guar Gum Futures Drop on Weak Demand

Guar gum futures fell on Thursday due to weak demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions. Prices dropped Rs 55 to Rs 11,235 per five quintals.
New Delhi, Apr 25 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Thursday dropped Rs 55 to Rs 11,235 per five quintals in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for May delivery fell Rs 55 or 0.49 per cent to Rs 11,235 per five quintals in 8,900 lots.

Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
