Guar gum futures rise on firm demand

Guar gum futures prices climbed on Thursday due to increased demand and speculation. The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange saw higher trading volumes.
New Delhi, Jun 20 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Thursday increased Rs 80 to Rs 10,716 per five quintals in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for July delivery traded higher by Rs 80 or 0.75 per cent at Rs 10,716 per five quintals with an open interest of 45,935 lots.

Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
