Guar Seed Futures Drop on Weak Demand - PTI

Guar seed prices fell in futures markets on Thursday due to low demand and ample supplies. Traders offloaded holdings, mirroring a weak trend in the spot market.

New Delhi, Sep 26 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Thursday dropped Rs 104 to Rs 5,742 per quintal in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed for October delivery fell Rs 104 or 1.81 per cent to Rs 5,742 per quintal in 43,495 lots.

Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar seed prices.
