Madhya Pradesh CM highlights India-Spain cultural ties, seeks investments in various sectors like tourism, technology, and renewable energy. Discover MP's growth potential.
Bhopal, Jul 16 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday said India and Spain are the carriers of two ancient civilisations and both countries have taken their centuries-old culture forward on the basis of moral values.
Yadav, who is on a visit to Spain, also sought investments from the European country in different sectors in Madhya Pradesh.
"India and Spain are the carriers of two ancient civilisations and both have taken their ancient culture forward on the basis of moral values. Both countries are like twin brothers. Now we will move forward together in terms of development.
"Spain has a different identity in culture as well as technology," he said addressing the 'Invest in MP Business Forum Meet' in Madrid, the capital of Spain, according to an official release issued in Bhopal.
Yadav noted Madhya Pradesh is the fastest developing state of India and investing there is undoubtedly a profitable deal.
Informing investors about unmatched qualities and potential of Madhya Pradesh, he said "if they are thinking about investing in India, then definitely come to Madhya Pradesh once, you will not be able to forget the state (MP)."
The CM noted there are immense possibilities of setting up industries related to minerals, tourism, big industries, pharmaceutical industry and technology development in Madhya Pradesh.
Tourism is growing at a fast pace in Madhya Pradesh and the central state has ample land for establishing industries, he told the gathering.
"Madhya Pradesh is located in the central region of India. So we are moving fast to become a leader in the logistics sector. Even if you set up industries in any other state of India, you will definitely need our state (Madhya Pradesh)," he said.
Madhya Pradesh is well connected to different parts of India and also abroad, the CM maintained.
"It has become a state in India that is growing rapidly in all sectors. We are also playing our role well in accelerating the economy of our country," he said.
Yadav highlighted huge possibilities in food processing, solar energy, wind energy, agri-based industry and textile sectors in Madhya Pradesh.
"We have the capability to provide world-class facilities to investors in all sectors," he said.
Yadav urged investors to connect with Madhya Pradesh without hesitation by taking advantage of the state's 18 types of high-tech industrial policies.
Madhya Pradesh will not lag behind in giving capital returns to the investors, he assured.
He said development of Madhya Pradesh has impressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well.
The Government of India is giving several concessions to domestic and foreign investors for investing in Madhya Pradesh, he pointed out.
The chief minister said the number of medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh is increasing rapidly and domestic and foreign companies are investing in manufacturing medical devices. Medical tourism is also being promoted in Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav said Spain's peace-loving nature, community development, use of technology and love for football have strengthened its economy.
Spain is India's sixth largest partner in terms of economic trade. Currently, trade worth USD 9.32 billion is taking place between Spain and India, the CM noted.
Earlier, senior officials gave presentations of policies of their respective departments on the occasion.
India's Ambassador to Spain Dinesh Kumar Patnaik said in India's federal structure, state governments independently formulate their economic policies and play a crucial role in attracting global investments.
He said that Madhya Pradesh is developing rapidly not only in cultural and natural terms, but also in areas such as technology, artificial intelligence, industry and renewable energy.
The Ambassador said the top leadership of the state is itself communicating with investors, which is a sign of investment security and committed cooperation.
