New Delhi, Feb 24 (PTI) Silver prices on Monday fell by Rs 160 to Rs 96,040 per kilogram as participants reduced their bets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for April delivery declined Rs 160 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 96,040 per kg in a business turnover of 16,500 lots.

Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels in the market mainly weighed on silver prices.

Globally, silver was trading 0.47 per cent higher at USD 32.60 per ounce in New York.
