Silver Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Silver futures prices climbed on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday, driven by increased spot demand and positive domestic trends. Global silver prices also rose.
New Delhi, Jan 15 (PTI) Silver prices on Monday climbed Rs 170 to Rs 72,650 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery increased Rs 170, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 72,650 per kg in 21,854 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Globally, silver was trading 0.24 per cent higher at USD 23.39 per ounce in New York.
