Silver Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Silver prices rose in futures trade on Tuesday, driven by increased spot demand. Analysts attributed the rise to positive domestic trends.
New Delhi, Feb 6 (PTI) Silver prices on Tuesday rose Rs 14 to Rs 70,494 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery increased Rs 14, or 0.02 per cent, to Rs 70,494 per kg in 32,115 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Globally, silver was trading 0.03 per cent higher at USD 22.44 per ounce in New York.
