Silver Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Silver prices surged in futures trading on Friday, driven by robust spot demand. The rise was attributed to increased positions built by traders on positive domestic trends. Globally, silver also saw an increase in prices.
New Delhi, Feb 16 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday rose Rs 188 to Rs 71,309 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery increased Rs 188, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 71,309 per kg in 24,482 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Globally, silver was trading 0.47 per cent higher at USD 23.05 per ounce in New York.
