Silver Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Silver prices climbed in futures trade on Friday, driven by strong spot demand. Analysts cite positive domestic trend and global price increases.
New Delhi, May 10 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday climbed Rs 1,016 to Rs 85,515 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery increased Rs 1,016 or 1.2 per cent to Rs 85,515 per kg in 28,262 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Globally, silver was trading higher 1.61 per cent at USD 28.88 per ounce in New York.
