Silver Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Silver prices rose in India on Wednesday due to increased bets from participants, while global prices edged lower. Learn more about the silver market.
New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) Silver prices on Wednesday marginally rose Rs 6 to Rs 91,057 per kilogram as participants increased their bets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery marginally increased Rs 6 or 0.01 per cent to Rs 91,057 per kg in a business turnover of 22,178 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.

Globally, silver was trading 0.14 per cent lower at USD 30.37 per ounce in New York.
