Silver Futures Surge on Spot Demand - PTI

Silver futures prices rose on Wednesday, driven by increased spot demand, according to PTI. The rise was attributed to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.
New Delhi, Jul 10 (PTI) Silver prices on Wednesday climbed Rs 131 to Rs 93,100 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery increased Rs 131 or 0.14 per cent to Rs 93,100 per kg in 23,466 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Globally, silver was trading marginally lower at USD 31.05 per ounce in New York.
