Silver Futures Surge on Spot Demand - PTI

Silver prices jumped Rs 602 to Rs 71,900 per kg in futures trade on Thursday, driven by increased spot demand and positive domestic trends. Global silver prices also rose.
New Delhi, Nov 2 (PTI) Silver prices on Thursday jumped Rs 602 to Rs 71,900 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for December delivery increased Rs 602 or 0.84 per cent to Rs 71,900 per kg in 18,991 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Globally, silver was trading 1.43 per cent higher at USD 23.12 per ounce in New York.
