Silver Futures Surge: Prices Jump to Rs 99,705/kg

Silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) jumped by Rs 219 to Rs 99,705 per kg on Thursday, driven by increased market bets and fresh positions.
New Delhi, Mar 27 (PTI) Silver prices on Thursday jumped by Rs 219 to Rs 99,705 per kg as market participants increased their bets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery rose Rs 219 or 0.22 per cent to Rs 99,705 per kg in a business turnover of 19,677 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.

Globally, silver was quoting 0.20 per cent higher at USD 34.29 per ounce in New York.
