Silver Futures Surge: Prices Rise to Rs 98,406/kg

Silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) rose by Rs 522 to Rs 98,406 per kg on Monday, driven by increased bets from participants.

New Delhi, Mar 24 (PTI) Silver prices on Monday increased Rs 522 to Rs 98,406 per kilogram as participants increased their bets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery rose Rs 522 or 0.41 per cent to Rs 98,406 per kg in a business turnover of 19,237 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.

Globally, silver was trading 0.39 per cent higher at USD 33.16 per ounce in New York.
