Zinc prices fell 0.92% to Rs 265.10 per kg in futures trade due to weak demand and speculator position trimming. Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) August contracts were affected.
New Delhi, Jul 31 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday fell 0.92 per cent to Rs 265.10 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery traded lower Rs 2.45 or 0.92 per cent at Rs 265.10 per kg in 3,639 lots.

Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
