Zinc futures prices fell on Friday due to muted demand from consuming industries, according to analysts. Speculators reduced their exposure, taking cues from the spot market.
New Delhi, Jan 5 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell by 0.11 per cent to Rs 225.50 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded lower by 25 paise or 0.11 per cent at Rs 225.50 per kg in 4,770 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
