Zinc prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) as speculators reduced their positions amid muted demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Feb 5 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.57 per cent to Rs 217.80 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded lower by Rs 1.25 or 0.57 per cent at Rs 217.80 per kg in 4,080 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
