Zinc prices fell 1.49% on Wednesday due to reduced speculation and slackened demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
New Delhi, Feb 28 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 1.49 per cent to Rs 211.75 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded lower Rs 3.20 or 1.49 per cent at Rs 211.75 per kg in 5,048 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
