Zinc futures prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced demand from consuming industries. Speculators also trimmed positions, leading to a decline in prices.
New Delhi, Jun 4 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday marginally fell 0.02 per cent to Rs 261.85 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded marginally lower 5 paise or 0.02 per cent at Rs 261.85 per kg in 2,820 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
