Zinc Futures Rise on Demand

New Delhi, Sep 19 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose 80 paise to Rs 282.65 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded higher 80 paise or 0.28 per cent at Rs 282.65 per kg with a business turnover of 1,181 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
