Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand in India

Zinc prices surged in India's futures market on June 6, driven by increased demand from consuming industries. Learn more about the factors driving the rise.
New Delhi, Jun 6 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose 80 paise to Rs 259.15 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher 80 paise or 0.31 per cent at Rs 259.15 per kg with a business turnover of 3,218 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
