Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand in India

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. Learn more about the zinc market trends.
New Delhi, Aug 14 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 3.20 to Rs 259.10 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery traded higher Rs 3.20 or 1.25 per cent at Rs 259.10 per kg with a business turnover of 1,902 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
