Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Friday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The August contract closed at Rs 254.70 per kg.
New Delhi, Aug 9 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose Rs 3.30 to Rs 254.70 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery traded higher Rs 3.30 or 1.31 per cent at Rs 254.70 per kg with a business turnover of 2,013 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
