Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) driven by increased demand from consuming industries. September contracts rose by Rs 1.90 to Rs 268.85 per kg.
New Delhi, Aug 22 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.90 to Rs 268.85 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded higher Rs 1.90 or 0.71 per cent at Rs 268.85 per kg with a business turnover of 1,285 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
