Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on Monday, driven by increased demand from consuming industries. The rise was observed in futures trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange.
New Delhi, Mar 24 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday grew 85 paise to Rs 276.80 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded higher by 85 paise or 0.31 per cent at Rs 276.80 per kg with a business turnover of 1,345 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
