Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose 5 paise to Rs 223.40 per kilogram on Friday, driven by increased spot demand. The rise was attributed to widening positions by participants.
New Delhi, Jan 12 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose 5 paise to Rs 223.40 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 5 paise or 0.02 per cent at Rs 223.40 per kg with a business turnover of 2,568 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
