Zinc Futures Rise on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Aug 19 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 2.70 to Rs 261.60 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded higher Rs 2.70 or 1.04 per cent at Rs 261.60 per kg with a business turnover of 738 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
