Zinc Futures Rise on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. Futures contracts for May delivery traded higher at Rs 259.45 per kg.
New Delhi, May 6 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 1.65 to Rs 259.45 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher Rs 1.65 or 0.64 per cent at Rs 259.45 per kg with a business turnover of 4,140 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
