Zinc Futures Surge on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose on Wednesday due to increased spot demand, pushing futures contracts higher on the Multi Commodity Exchange. The widening of positions by participants fueled the rise.
New Delhi, May 15 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 1.10 to Rs 265.10 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher Rs 1.10 or 0.42 per cent at Rs 265.10 per kg with a business turnover of 3,331 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
