Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices climbed Rs 2.30 to Rs 254.75 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by increased demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jun 12 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 2.30 to Rs 254.75 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher Rs 2.30 or 0.91 per cent at Rs 254.75 per kg with a business turnover of 3,021 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
