Zinc futures rise on high demand

Zinc prices climbed on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Wednesday, driven by increased demand from consuming industries. Learn more about the market trends.
New Delhi, Jun 19 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 1.60 to Rs 260.80 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher Rs 1.60 or 0.62 per cent at Rs 260.80 per kg with a business turnover of 1,706 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
