Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to increased demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Nov 8 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 2.05 to Rs 228.80 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for November delivery traded higher by Rs 2.05 or 0.9 per cent at Rs 228.80 per kg with a business turnover of 5,355 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
