Aluminium Futures Rise: Fresh Bets Fuel Price Hike

Aluminium futures climb on fresh bets at MCX. December delivery up Rs 1.90 to Rs 274.95/kg. Demand from industries supports price rise.
New Delhi, Dec 1 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Monday rose by Rs 1.90 to Rs 274.95 per kilogram in the domestic futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in December increased by Rs 1.90 or 0.7 per cent to Rs 274.95 per kg in a business turnover of 3,291 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
